Work Environment The Physical Therapy Assistant will work onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Cape Coral, Florida. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to tailor individualized treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs and goals. Assist in implementing physical therapy interventions including exercises, stretching maneuvers, and hands-on therapy to help alleviate pain and enhance mobility. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, expected outcomes, and home exercise programs to support continued rehabilitation outside the clinic. Document patient progress meticulously, adjusting care plans in collaboration with physical therapists as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Engage with healthcare professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Patient Population / Client Focus Our patient care primarily focuses on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other physical ailments. We serve a diverse range of patients, including young athletes, adults, and seniors seeking to regain mobility and enhance quality of life. We embrace a patient-centered approach that empowers individuals to participate actively in their own recovery processes. Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required. A valid Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license issued by the state of Florida. Certification as a PTA (Associate of Science or Associate of Arts) from an accredited institution is mandatory. Ability to conduct patient assessments and adapt treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Preferred Experience While a minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant is preferred, we value a strong willingness to learn and grow within the role. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
