FieldBridge is looking for a Mechanical Assembler in Houston, TX to work for a global energy technology company. We offer weekly pay + benefits.
Pay Rate & Schedule:$25.00/hour | Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, 40 hrs/week, workshop-based | Weekly pay every Friday | Overtime available based on workload | At $25/hr and 50 hrs/week, for example, earn weekly paychecks of $1,375 gross. Position Overview
FieldBridge is hiring an experienced Gas Turbine Mechanic to support Baker Hughes' turbomachinery repair operations in Houston. This role involves hands-on assembly, disassembly, and inspection of rotating equipment, with a strong focus on precision, quality, and safety. Ideal candidates bring solid mechanical aptitude and prior overhaul experience in industrial or oil & gas environments. Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, test, assemble, and disassemble rotating equipment
- Perform visual inspections and repair non-conforming units
- Operate hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tooling with precision
- Use precision measuring equipment (ID/OD/depth micrometers, calipers)
- Follow detailed work routers for inspection and repair under time constraints
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years overhaul/repair experience with GE10, PGT 10/PGT 25, or Frame 3/Frame 5 equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to independently read complex machining or assembly drawings
- Working knowledge of HSE requirements and safety procedures
- Steel-toe boots required
