Senior Accountant

Staff AccountantEFPR Group is seeking entry level staff accountants to join its auditing team in Buffalo. The staff accountant will be responsible for insuring assigned engagements are completed in a timely fashion using the resources provided by the firm while maintaining the standards set forth by the firm's quality control document. The company offers a unique environment that fosters individual growth and rewards performance.Job duties to include the following, but not limited to:Responsible for insuring the assigned engagements are completed timely and with minimal errorInteract with clients to facilitate workflowConduct research, maintain proficiency in professional standards and develop expertise within the firmLearn and adhere to the firm's policies and proceduresHelp to develop and attract interns and staff by providing assistance with recruiting, mentoring and professional development programsPrepare audit files and documentsPerform audit programs on assigned audit areasComplete audit workpapers using client provided documentsReview and inspect completed financial statementsQualifications and skills:BS in accounting required; 150-hour degree preferredWillingness to travelCPA exam in process a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsEffective leadership, interpersonal, organizational, technology and analytical skillsExceptional customer service skillsSelf-starter with the ability to handle and manage multiple prioritiesStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsExperience with ProSystems Engagement software is a plusProficient computer skills in: creative solutions, QuickBooks, Sage accounting, Excel, WordAttention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and verbal and written communication skillsMulti-taskingStrong communication skillsInterpersonal skills for facilitating all firm billing with partners, bill managers and clientsPossess the ability to listen and handle elevated situations as they arise and maintain professionalism in difficult conversations with staff and clientsAbility to work in a fast paced, due date oriented environmentExtreme confidentiality requiredAsk appropriate questions as needed
