About This Role The Travel RN in the Emergency Room will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking for a contract position with a focus on emergency care. Highlights Pay: $2902/week Location: Danbury, CT Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time What You'll Do Assess the patient’s physiologic health status. Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures. Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status. Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition. Assess level of pain and pain management. Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care. Assess patient’s psychosocial health status. Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations. Identify patient’s need for teaching based on psychosocial and developmental assessment. Develop patient outcome statements and establish individualized patient goals. Implement the plan of care and maintain constant vigilance over patient care. Administer medications correctly and safely. Participate in patient and family education. Requirements Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required. BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed. ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required.
