Door Monitor / Access Control Monitor


Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour


Location: Construction Site

Position Overview


We are seeking a reliable and professional Door Monitor / Access Control Monitor to support safety and security on an active construction site. This role is responsible for monitoring designated entry points, controlling access to restricted areas, and ensuring site safety protocols are followed at all times.


The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and comfortable interacting with employees, contractors, and visitors in a professional manner.

Schedule


Open availability is required. Candidates must be available to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, overtime, and holidays based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned entry points and control access to restricted or hazardous areas.
• Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering designated work zones.
• Communicate access restrictions and safety requirements clearly and professionally.
• Enforce site policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Report safety concerns, security issues, and protocol violations to site management.
• Document incidents and unauthorized access attempts as required.
• Maintain a professional presence while supporting overall site safety and compliance.
• Work closely with supervisors, contractors, and site personnel to ensure a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in access control, security, construction, facilities, or related fields preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain alert, focused, and attentive for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to consistently enforce rules and safety protocols while maintaining professionalism.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and construction site environments.
• Frequent use of hands for reporting, monitoring, and site-related tasks.
• Ability to work around dust, noise, and other construction-related conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
