Vascular Surgeon Job Requirements

At least 1 year of professional experience in vascular surgery

Physician license eligible for practice in New Mexico

Board certification required

Completion of vascular surgery fellowship training

Current ACLS and BLS certifications

Ability to provide on-site coverage and manage a broad range of vascular surgical cases

Vascular Surgery Physician Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with vascular conditions

Perform and manage thoracic and abdominal aneurysm repairs

Perform peripheral arterial bypass procedures

Place and manage vascular access devices

Perform and manage arteriovenous shunt procedures

Collaborate with surgical, emergency, and multidisciplinary care teams to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Complete timely documentation and participate in patient consultations and follow-up care
