Job Title

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP (Pre/Post Angio)

Key Responsibilities

• Admit, prep, and recover procedural cases from Cath, IR, and EP within a 6-bed Pre/Post Angio unit averaging 4–6 cases per day
• Read and interpret telemetry strips and titrate drips for a patient population that includes STEMI, stroke, heart caths, peripheral angios, IVC placement, temporary pacemaker insertion, TEEs, cardioversions, and EP studies
• Demonstrate proficiency with a broad range of IV medications required for procedural and post-procedural care
• Utilize Epic EMR and Philips monitoring equipment throughout patient care activities
• Collaborate with Cath Lab Techs and Charge Nurse staff; may be required to stay beyond scheduled shift depending on case volume
• Adhere to a drug-free campus policy, including a negative drug screen for all panels

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Ability to admit, prep, and recover patients from Cath, IR, and EP procedures
• Proficiency in reading telemetry strips and titrating drips
• Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local rate adjustment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with peripheral angio cases
• Experience in interventional radiology (IR) and neuro intervention settings
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Philips monitoring equipment
