Job Description
Title: Emergency Department Nurse - Level I Trauma

Schedule:
- Shift Type: 12-hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Travelers scheduled for weekends as needed

Assignment Details:
- Minimum Assignment Length: 10 weeks

Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department; 1.5 years may be considered
- Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (NIH may pend until documentation is due)
- Travel experience: Strongly preferred; first-time travelers considered if 2+ years Level I experience
- Trauma Experience: Level II trauma required; Level I trauma experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide care and treatment for patients in the emergency department
- Conduct triage, assessment, and treatment of patients with varying acuity levels
- Manage care for patients requiring trauma/resuscitation including medication administration and procedural sedation monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate timely and effective interventions
- Utilize appropriate clinical judgement in the management and care of critically ill or injured patients

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: Approximately 24 hours
- RTO: Maximum of 7 days preferred; no RTO during the first 7 days or the last day of the contract
- Parking: No fee
- Scrub Color: Black
