Commercial Excellence Manager

LHH is partnering with a global manufacturing organization to identify a Commercial Excellence Manager who will help drive commercial effectiveness, sales enablement, and business transformation initiatives across the organization. This is (4) days on-site and (1) day remote. This is not a traditional sales or account management role. Instead, this position focuses on improving how commercial teams operate by developing scalable processes, driving CRM adoption, supporting strategic account planning initiatives, enhancing forecasting and reporting capabilities, and helping commercial leaders make better business decisions. The ideal candidate will bring experience across Commercial Excellence, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales Enablement, Strategic Account Planning, Customer Segmentation, Commercial Analytics, and Change Management. This individual will serve as a key partner to commercial leadership while helping build the frameworks, tools, and programs that support long‑term growth. What You’ll Do Commercial Excellence & Sales Effectiveness Lead and support Commercial Excellence initiatives that improve sales effectiveness and commercial performance. Develop scalable commercial processes, tools, and best practices. Partner with leadership to improve consistency, accountability, and execution across commercial teams. Help design and implement programs that strengthen commercial capabilities throughout the organization. Strategic Account Planning & Customer Segmentation Support strategic account planning frameworks and methodologies. Help commercial teams identify, prioritize, and manage key customer segments. Develop insights and recommendations that support growth strategies and go‑to‑market initiatives. Contribute to customer segmentation, account prioritization, and commercial planning efforts. Drive adoption of commercial processes, CRM best practices, and enabling technologies. Support sales enablement programs that improve seller effectiveness and execution. Help lead change management initiatives tied to commercial transformation efforts. Influence stakeholders and encourage adoption of new ways of working. Commercial Analytics & Business Insights Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and commercial reporting tools. Analyze sales, pipeline, customer, pricing, and profitability data. Translate business data into meaningful recommendations and actionable insights. Identify opportunities to improve performance and commercial outcomes. Support forecasting cadence and pipeline review processes. Drive Salesforce adoption, data integrity, and reporting accuracy. Improve visibility into pipeline health and commercial performance metrics. Partner with sales leadership to strengthen opportunity management processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in Commercial Excellence, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales Enablement, Commercial Analytics, Business Transformation, or related functions. Strong understanding of B2B commercial organizations and sales processes. Experience with forecasting, pipeline management, CRM adoption, and performance reporting. Salesforce experience required. Advanced Excel skills required. Power BI and/or Tableau experience preferred. Experience influencing stakeholders and driving organizational adoption. Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Experience Commercial Excellence program development. Strategic account planning exposure. Change management and transformation initiatives. Pricing and profitability analysis. Manufacturing, industrial, specialty chemicals, packaging, or other B2B environments. Why This Opportunity? This is a highly visible position supporting the evolution of a growing Commercial Excellence function. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence commercial strategy, improve sales effectiveness, drive adoption of key business processes, and help shape how the organization approaches customer segmentation, account planning, forecasting, and commercial execution.
