We are seeking a Medical Writer to support members of the team in achieving business objectives.The Medical Writer will be responsible for compiling, writing, and editing medical writing deliverables based on a thorough knowledge of the Client's product and therapeutic area.This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices—including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, or San Francisco—or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.What you'll do:Demonstrate understanding for multiple products and disease statesInteract with internal teams (Account, PM, creative, etc.) and clients on programs to meet strategic objectives.Work closely with the Associate Medical Director in managing multiple accounts from a scientific perspective including all scientific and strategic aspects of medical communication tactics, meetings, and programsParticipate in strategic planning and project meetings with internal and client teams as neededSelf-educate on innovation in the industry and begin to conceptualize programs for teamsDevelop depth of understanding for assigned products, related medical areas, and competitors on an ongoing basisIdentify and communicate important updates and medical-regulatory milestones to the team and recommend new business opportunitiesCollaborate with the Editorial team to resolve grammatical or stylistic errors or concernsTake a proactive solutions-oriented approach into all assignmentsThis position is a perfect fit for you if:Our Company values – Best Together, Impact-Obsessed, Excellence Expected, Evolve Always and Accountability with an "I" – really speak to you.You are adaptable, resilient, and OK with adjusting your scope, responsibilities, and focus as we grow. We're always evolving.You are proactive, driven, and resourceful with strong prioritization skills and a desire to dive into the data.You are highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines.What you should have:An advanced scientific degree (Ph.D., MD, PharmD) preferred3 + years of experience in a Medical Communications agency setting preferred, internship, preceptorship, or equivalentAbility to work in a highly collaborative environment to develop and execute scientific communications and promotional initiatives for clientsMeticulous attention to detailExpert writing and editorial skills with medical terminology expertiseStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to deliver a quick turnaround on a variety of tasksStrong self-motivation and enthusiasm with demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly detail-oriented environmentOutstanding communication and presentation skills, including strong proficiency in related technologies (Microsoft applications, Internet research platforms, etc.)
