As a Security Officer supporting an educational location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions. Respond to incidents, alarms, medical calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Monitor access points and support access-control procedures for authorized individuals, visitors, deliveries, and campus events. Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors, campus personnel, and responding public service agencies. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
