Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor - Overnight Shift

At Nestlé Health Science, a leading provider of nutrition science and wellness expertise, we are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse & DC Supervisor to drive associate engagement, productivity, quality, accuracy, and safety in a dedicated warehouse area. Position Summary The Warehouse & DC Supervisor is a key member of the warehouse operations team and is responsible for driving associate engagement, productivity, quality, accuracy, and safety in a specific area (inbound return orders, order picking, order sorting, or outbound/shipping) by providing leadership and day‑to‑day direction to a team of numerous hourly associates. The supervisor also collaborates with peers in other departments to ensure all decisions/outcomes align with overall site goals and objectives. Work Schedule Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM Job Duties/Responsibilities Maintain a clean and safe working environment; ensure all equipment is in working order and that associates have the tools they need to be effective. Supervise associates to pick merchandise and consolidate orders, pack orders, or ship packages directly to consumers and retail customers. Supervise secondary production functions associated with the assigned department, such as returns, return‑to‑vendor processes, make‑ready/audit functions, etc. Implement optimal staffing mix during the shift in partnership with the production/wave planning office. Monitor warehouse lines to ensure goods flow properly within the facility; communicate best practices for conveying goods to associates and upstream/downstream departments. Maintain accurate records of processed merchandise, packages and shipments, gift packaging, tracking numbers, etc.; prepare daily reports of these metrics for management and provide appropriate feedback to associates. Maintain high quality and productivity standards in the assigned department(s) through continuous direction, training, and motivation to hourly associates. Coach and develop warehouse leads in day‑to‑day motivation and support of hourly order processors. Ensure on‑time order processing and keep service level promises to customers. Present problem analysis of operational issues to the inbound/outbound manager on duty and recommend solutions. Be solution‑oriented and routinely make recommendations for continuous improvement within the site. Exercise autonomy to make operational decisions on the fly to keep the building plans on track and support the business. Assign work, meet completion dates, and ensure consistent application of organization policies and communications. Plan and organize day‑to‑day operations activities in partnership with the warehouse area. Communicate with, follow up with, and support associates in a timely manner. Leverage facility systems to generate reports, understand trends, interpret corrective measures, and execute plans to achieve desired outcomes. Monitors hourly/daily reporting and escalates concerns when needed. Use software programs such as ERP, WMS, and other facility systems to execute tasks. Follow all established facility safety and security standards; coach and hold hourly associates accountable. Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business is preferred (or equivalent level of industry experience). Experience & Skills Requirements 3+ years of distribution experience, with at least 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred. Self‑starter with integrity and confidence; strives to achieve challenging objectives with limited supervision. Able to communicate openly at all management levels, with customers and vendors. Highly organized and detail‑oriented with the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Customer focused with strong data and analytical skills. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Proven track record in planning and a strong interest in continuous improvement. Results‑oriented and able to solve problems and implement change. Potential to grow into positions of increased responsibility based on performance. Demonstrates supervisory/managerial skill set, aligning actions and plans to strategy, supporting a learning culture, and building collaborative, motivated teams focused on results. Compensation & Benefits The approximate pay range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000.
