Experienced Tax Preparer

DMLO is seeking an Experienced Tax Preparer to join our Louisville, KY office for the upcoming tax season (January - April 2027). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing individual and business tax returns, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This position is seasonal and can be part-time or full-time. As an Experienced Tax Preparer, your responsibilities will include: Preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and/or small businesses Analyzing financial documents and tax-related information to ensure accurate tax reporting Utilizing tax preparation software to complete returns efficiently and accurately Maintaining organized client files and documentation Meeting tax filing deadlines while managing a high-volume workload Collaborating with team members and provide support during peak filing periods What do we look for? 2+ years tax preparation experience in a public accounting firm, tax practice, or similar environment Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, preferred CPA license preferred, but not required Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills Integrity and strong work ethic Timely and accurate with close attention to detail Ability to balance multiple priorities well Team focus With 60+ CPAs and over 150 employees, DMLO CPAs is the largest locally-owned accounting firm in the Louisville area.
