Department Summary Cal Poly University Housing (UH) is a department within the division of Administration and Finance that provides a premier living and learning experience for over 9,000 students in residence hall and apartment-style communities. Key Qualifications Thorough knowledge of data information systems, data mining and analytics, business intelligence software, associated reporting software, and the relationships between data elements. Thorough working knowledge of Odata, Microsoft’s Power BI Analytics, and SQL. Demonstrated ability to independently analyze and evaluate software functionality through technical documents and testing, perform fit-gap analyses, and design and document efficient and effective business practices. Demonstrated ability in administrative survey techniques, operations and systems analysis, statistical and research methods, and the ability to interpret and evaluate results to drop sound conclusions and recommend new or revised policies, procedures, or solutions. Demonstrated ability to analyze facilities software modules and data requirements and research data availability and access methods. Education and Experience Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university. Four (4) years of technical or administrative experience. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Salary and Benefits Anticipated Hiring Range:$81,504 - $91,788 Per Year Classification Range: $69,564 - $101,340 Per Year Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role includes experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
