What You’ll Do Employment Litigation Associate Join a sophisticated employment law practice representing employers in complex workplace matters throughout California. We are seeking an experienced Associate with a strong background in employment litigation and counseling. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing cases from inception through resolution. What You’ll Do As a member of our employment litigation team, you will: Defend single-plaintiff employment claims involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and related workplace issues in state and federal courts. Represent employers in proceedings before the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and California Labor Commissioner. Provide day-to-day employment law advice and counsel to clients. Prepare and respond to discovery requests. Conduct and defend depositions. Handle law and motion practice, including: Dispositive motions Motions to compel arbitration Discovery-related motions Prepare case evaluations and litigation strategies for clients. Independently manage caseloads and proactively drive matters toward resolution. Prepare for and attend mediations, including drafting persuasive mediation briefs. Attend court hearings, status conferences, and argue motions when appropriate. Participate in arbitrations and trials. Qualifications Active admission to practice law in the State of California. Significant employment litigation experience representing employers. Strong experience handling employment-related administrative charges and court litigation. Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and cases effectively. Strong client service and relationship-building skills.
