Site Supervisor (Data Centers) - Columbus, OH

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results‑driven and forward‑thinking Field Project Manager to join our team. In this role you will install, program, start‑up, certify, and provide customer training on Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects, while working with management and the project team to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and budget. Responsibilities Oversee overall site management of projects, ensuring successful and timely completion within the contract scope. Prepare installation plans and implement job procedures in collaboration with the Project Coordinator. Supervise Project Specialists, Installers, and subcontractors; mentor, coach, and develop team members. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, directing on‑site activities and verifying quality assurance standards. Assist in overall project coordination, recommend scope changes, and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Identify potential project risks, communicate to relevant parties, and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure installation quality meets national and local codes and company standards. Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation systems. Provide technical support and training to customers, maximizing customer satisfaction. Perform additional duties as requested. Qualifications Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure. Strong supervision skills and installation experience with building automation, fire alarm, or electronic security systems. Field supervision and problem‑solving skills. Self‑starter who works well without supervision. Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude; proficiency with hand and power tools, blueprint reading, and advanced math. Valid driver's license; frequent job‑site visits required (minimal overnight travel). Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Advanced organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient computer skills (MS Office). Drive, not CDL (required). Requirements College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of relevant experience in field service. Certifications: Product‑specific, industry‑specific, licenses, or software certifications (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, AMAG, Milestone, ONSSI, AXIS).
