Job Overview Job Title: Mortgage Underwriter Employment Type: Full-time (Contract) Contract Duration: 6+ Months Location: Dublin, CA – Hybrid Schedule Schedule: Alternating weekly: Week 1: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote; Week 2: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote Key Responsibilities Underwrite conventional home loans in alignment with Credit Union guidelines, investor requirements, and federal/state regulations. Monitor and adapt to changes in underwriting standards, regulatory policies, and private mortgage insurance guidelines. Conduct thorough audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of loan files. Deliver exceptional service to internal teams and external stakeholders. Respond promptly to inquiries and follow through to resolution. Ensure underwriting timelines are met based on loan volume and organizational standards. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Familiarity with Desktop Underwriter and loan origination systems preferred. Ability to pass a background check, which will include a Credit Check.
