Accounting Manager

Job Description Job Description Job Overview Zal Industrial is a privately owned family-operated industrial supply distributor serving businesses across Southern California. We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and core financial operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment. Financial Operations & Reporting: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and bank accounts. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements. Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable: Oversee daily AP/AR processing, including vendor invoices, payments, customer billing, and collections. Process Improvement & Internal Controls: Identify and implement improvements to streamline accounting workflows. Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries Experience with corporate accounting Knowledge of financial concepts such as account reconciliation, account analysis, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting Familiarity with payroll processing and tax compliance procedures Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills Ability to interpret financial data accurately and communicate findings effectively Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred but not mandatory depending on experience Company Description Zal Industrial is a multi-generational industrial supply house, located in East Los Angeles, California.
