CGP: Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $47.00 to $52.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the monthly close process while identifying ways to improve timing and accuracy.
• Prepare recurring and non recurring journal entries and recommend improvements to streamline workflows.
• Complete bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Document core accounting processes and evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency through automation.
• Support audit activities by preparing reconciliations, analyses, and consistent supporting documentation.

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands on general ledger ownership.
• Previous experience managing month end close, bank reconciliations, and account reviews for payables and receivables.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and audit support requirements.
• Prior experience working with enterprise accounting systems and financial reporting tools.

• Proven ability to lead and execute process improvement initiatives across accounting functions.
• Advanced Excel skills used for reconciliations, analysis, and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail paired with an analytical approach to solving process gaps.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative leadership style across teams.
• Interest in improving and standardizing accounting processes through technology and automation.
