Smart Grid Network Analyst

Job Title: Smart Grid Network Analyst Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite + Field Work Required) Duration: Contract (Potential Extension) Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr We are seeking a Smart Grid Network Analyst to support the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of RF-based communication networks within a utility environment. This role is critical to maintaining reliable connectivity across Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), SCADA, and distribution systems . This is a hands-on technical role requiring a mix of network engineering, field support, and system troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities Monitor and troubleshoot RF / wireless network performance to ensure system reliability Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of smart grid network infrastructure Assist with deployment and support of AMI, SCADA, and grid communication systems Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and field crews on network installations and upgrades Perform firmware updates, system configurations, and equipment provisioning Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, assets, and changes Support emergency response efforts, including after-hours troubleshooting as needed Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience in network engineering, telecom, or wireless networking Strong knowledge of: Routing & Switching TCP/IP Networking

DNS/DHCP

Experience with RF, wireless, or telecom network technologies Hands‑on experience installing, configuring, or troubleshooting network equipment Ability to work in both office and field environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) or smart grid technologies Background in utilities, energy, telecom, or large‑scale infrastructure networks Experience supporting SCADA or distribution automation systems Certifications such as:

CCNA / CCNP
