Senior Tax Accountant

LAO Group is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant for their mid-size public accounting firm with offices located in Denver and Boulder. This role can be housed in either office. The position will be focused on reviewing complex partnership and corporate U.S. and multi-state income tax returns, coaching the tax team and assisting with tax planning. Responsibilities Review complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities, including C-corporations, S-corporations, and partnerships Review complex U.S. and state individual income, gift tax, trust and estate tax returns Prepare advanced and complex tax returns Ensure accuracy of staff-prepared returns while providing constructive coaching to team members Coordinate and oversee complex tax research and plan projects for clients across diverse industries Analyzing current and prior year returns to identify future planning opportunities and potential issues Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individuals, partnerships, and corporations Stay informed of general business and industry trends to professionally enhance client solutions Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices Requirements 3-5 years of experience in public accounting with emphasis in taxation Licensed CPA or CPA candidate actively pursuing the CPA licensure with a demonstrated history of exam progress Bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited institution Strong technical skills in accounting, tax preparation and experience with tax return review #J-18808-Ljbffr LAO Group, LLC
