Tax Manager

The largest business management firm in the U.S. is seeking experienced Tax Managers to join its Los Angeles office in a hybrid capacity. This is a strong opportunity for a seasoned tax professional looking to step into a leadership role, manage complex engagements, and work closely with a diverse and high-caliber client base.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for a Tax Manager who enjoys both technical work and team leadership. You’ll play a key role in delivering strategic tax solutions while mentoring staff and maintaining strong client relationships. The position includes exposure to very complex tax preparation and first-level review responsibilities, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys staying hands-on while leading engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and planning across individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts & estates
• Prepare and review complex tax returns and projections
• Perform first-level (lower-level) review of staff work and provide guidance
• Lead, mentor, and develop staff accountants and seniors
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality service

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting or professional services
• CPA required
• Strong technical tax knowledge across multiple entity types
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Hybrid (4 days in office, 1-day WFH)
