TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day and Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience required License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: - Must have at least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass. - Epic experience required. - Previous travel experience preferred. Description: The unit provides care for patients with a variety of oncology-related diagnoses. Patients are admitted with continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration. Care includes management of soft tissue malignancy, diagnostic services, and symptom management. There is a focus on managing comorbidities and implementing infection prevention protocols. Patient falls are a high priority, and safety protocols must be followed closely. Special equipment utilized includes telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds. Candidates must have experience interpreting dysrhythmias, accessing ports, and managing arterial lines. Blood product administration and central line management skills are required. Candidates should be skilled in IV starts and assisting with chest tube insertion and removal. High flow nasal cannula and ABG interpretation skills are necessary for patient care. Candidates will be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services. The majority of patients have diagnoses such as breast cancer, lung cancer, and prostate cancer. Candidates should be prepared for a variable number of weekend shifts based on unit needs.
