If you share our passion for supporting patients on their journey, we invite you to join our exceptional team.The RoleWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in a per diem capacity. In this role, you will maintain nursing functions within the Procedure Room, including assisting with egg retrievals, cyst aspirations under anesthesia, embryo transfers, and related procedures, while providing high-quality post-anesthesia recovery care.What You’ll DoYou’ll play a hands-on role in the procedure room and recovery area, ensuring every patient receives safe, attentive, and compassionate care from prep through discharge.Verify patient identity, complete chart and anesthesia packets per protocol, and confirm consents prior to proceduresPosition patients appropriately, maintain a sterile environment, and assist physicians and anesthesiologists during proceduresMonitor patients post-anesthesia, assess and manage pain and nausea, and ensure compliance with discharge instructionsAssist with D&Es, office hysteroscopy, and other clinical procedures; conduct allergy assessments and initiate necessary precautionsAdminister emergency care as needed, including CPR and code blue protocolsMaintain accurate documentation and participate in supply management, inventory restocking, and equipment maintenanceWhat We’re Looking ForCurrent RN or LPN licensure in Louisiana (required)Strong understanding of anesthesia protocols and post-anesthesia recovery proceduresAbility to respond to emergency situations with composure and efficiency; physical stamina for lifting and positioning patientsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environmentPreferred: previous experience in a surgical, PACU, or procedural clinical settingScheduleThis is a per diem position based in Metairie, LA. Management distributes the schedule one month at a time. Weekday and weekend availability for a minimum of 4 shifts per month is required. Shifts generally begin at 6:00 AM.
