Tax Accountant

Responsibilities:
- Seeking a strong candidate who wants to still work in public accounting and deliver high-quality client service, but does not want to continue the grueling hours (approximately 50-55 hours during busy season). We offer an excellent work-life balance!
- We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to perform all of the standard tasks of a public accounting firm.
- Prepare tax returns, including planning
- Perform basic tax research (we use BlueJ)
- Respond to tax notices
- Prepare sufficient supporting documentation in a timely manner
- Correspond with clients in a kind, clear, and effective manner
- Solve problems and think analytically
- 3-8 years of prior experience
- CPA certified or experienced enrolled agent
- Possibly even more than experience, we want a candidate to possess integrity, be trustworthy, dependable, and, most importantly, a team player with a cooperative attitude
- Must be proficient in basic tax return preparation. We will provide training for more advanced returns.
- Thomson Reuters software experience is preferred but not required
