Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

This is a 26-week contract position that requires acceptance upon offer.

Nights - 3x12 Hour Shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation.

The role involves providing high-quality care to a predominantly medical-surgical patient population, with a requirement for EKG competency. Charge nurse responsibilities will also be required as needed, along with floating to other Cone Health facilities when necessary.

Administer blood products and manage peripheral line care.

Start and maintain intravenous (IV) lines, and manage heparin and insulin protocols.

Utilize Rapid Response teams and manage isolation precautions.

Perform EKG tests and interpret dysrhythmias as part of patient assessments.

Maintain care for patients requiring PCA, BiPAP/CPAP management, and nasal cannula.

Active RN license required.

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with prior charge experience.

BLS certification required.

Epic charting system experience preferred.

Traveler must pass EKG exam during onboarding.
