Travel Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Role Overview Travel Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – 13‑week assignment at a facility in Oregon, Ohio. The position is for a Certified Respiratory Therapist seeking a competitive pay package and comprehensive benefits while working with a dedicated clinical team. Responsibilities Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under the guidance of physicians or RRTs Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples Administer respiratory treatments, including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy Set up and monitor equipment to ensure proper delivery of oxygen and therapeutic interventions Observe and record patient status and progress Educate patients and family members on medication usage and equipment operation Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CRT practice Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist Certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the NBRC Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA/ARC) Other relevant certifications and licenses Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions, with proficiency in PC skills Physical Requirements Maintain stationary or mobile position, move equipment weighing 50‑100 lbs, push, pull, and bend as needed Interpersonal & Technical Skills Work effectively with a variety of personnel, maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism Perform fine motor tasks and manipulate equipment during procedures Mental & Sensory Requirements Handle frequent public interaction and deadlines under pressure Work under close supervision or independently as required Maintain visual acuity and clear communication with patients and staff Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1,560 hours Life and short‑term disability coverage 401(k) matching Agile referral bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Fusion Medical Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
