Senior Structural Engineer

Our Client Company is a respected structural engineering firm is seeks a Senior Structural Engineer with 5 to 10 years of Building, Design and Detailing Experience. Experience should include a wide range of building structure types including educational, industrial, commercial, mid rise and parking structures, preferably in a consulting engineering firm environment.
Job Responsibilities:- Ability to run projects from design through construction
- Developing geometric layout of structures / perform load calculations
- Designing and detailing of structural building components utilizing specialized engineering software such as MathCAD, STAAD-Pro, AutoCAD and/or REVIT
- Reviewing analysis and checking design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by other engineers
- Performing seismic analysis and design of building structures
- Ability to interact with architects and engineers of different disciplines
- B. S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structures (Master's degree preferred)
- S.E. License in the State of Illinois
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience working as a structural design engineer
- Knowledgeable of national building codes and design codes
- Detail oriented with strong skills in structural analysis, design and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems for all types of buildings
- Proficient with MathCAD, STAAD-Pro, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), AutoCAD and/or REVIT
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and organizational skills
- Diversified knowledge of technology, materials, equipment, design concepts, and construction techniques
- Valid driver's license required
