Position Summary

The Outside Sales Representative (OSR) is responsible for growing sales and gross profit within a defined territory by developing existing customer relationships, increasing share of wallet, and securing new business opportunities. This role operates in a competitive B2B sales environment and requires a consultative selling approach focused on solving customer challenges and delivering value.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans.
• Increase sales penetration within existing accounts.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Analyze customer needs, competition, and growth opportunities.
• Maintain accurate account plans and sales activities in CRM.

• Prepare and execute productive sales calls.
• Establish clear call objectives and follow-up actions.
• Utilize sales tools and CRM platforms to track opportunities and customer interactions.
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer records.

• Build trust and long-term partnerships with customers.
• Conduct needs assessments to uncover current and future opportunities.
• Provide solutions that improve customer operations and profitability.
• Communicate FleetPride's value proposition effectively.

• Develop strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts.
• Understand product applications and complementary offerings.
• Effectively position FleetPride products and services against competitors.
• Continuously improve industry and product knowledge.

• Partner with branch teams, subject matter experts, customer service, and leadership.
• Leverage internal resources to resolve customer concerns and support growth initiatives.
• Serve as the primary liaison between FleetPride and customers.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Experience & Skills

• 1+ year of B2B sales experience preferred
• Heavy-duty truck, trailer, aftermarket parts, industrial, transportation, or related industry experience preferred
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and interest in the heavy-duty industry
• Experience using CRM and sales automation tools preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
