Assistant Corporate Controller

Our client, a growing luxury consumer brand, is seeking a Controller to oversee corporate accounting operations and financial reporting. Reporting to senior finance leadership, this individual will lead the month-end close, ensure strong internal controls, manage the accounting team, and help scale the finance organization during an exciting period of growth. The ideal candidate enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Responsibilities Lead all corporate accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting. Manage and develop the accounting team while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies. Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and lease accounting. Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors. Partner closely with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and operational leadership. Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic finance initiatives. Drive process improvements, automation, and ERP optimization. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. Assist with special projects, system implementations, and business initiatives as the company continues to grow. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Experience leading the monthly close process and preparing financial statements. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls. Experience in retail, apparel, consumer products, manufacturing, or multi-entity organizations preferred. ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr
