Job Title: Lead NTP Surveyor- Atlanta Agency: Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Job Requisition ID: JR0000003077 Shift: Not Applicable (United States of America) Compensation Details: BASED ON EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Job Description: Job Title:Lead NTP Surveyor- Atlanta Workplace: 200 Piedmont Ave. SE, Atlanta, Ga. 30334 Remote Travel: roughly 75% Job Summary: Reporting directly to the DATEP/NTP Licensure Manager, supports a team of Narcotic Treatment Program (NTP) surveyors conducting compliance surveys of facilities for adherence to Department rules and regulations related to NTP programs. Maintains a caseload of surveys as needed. Acts as subject matter expert in required areas. Provides support, supervision, and feedback to surveyors on their team. Functions as a resource within the Division of Strategy, Technology, and Performance based upon the needs at any given time. Travel statewide approximately 60-75% of the time, on average, and will vary depending on need. Primary Responsibilities: Maintains working knowledge of all rules and regulations that are used to evaluate compliance. Plans, schedules and implements compliance surveys, as assigned. Evaluates facility compliance and adherence to requirements, and draws conclusions based on evidence provided to develop findings of deficiency and to determine license eligibility. Prepares detailed, thorough, professional and accurate reports by incorporating data analysis, data interpretation, rules and regulations which describe complex and/or technical information that can sustain legal challenges. Supervise and evaluate performance and support a team of surveyors, assisting them in succeeding in their work and professional development. Works closely with other staff to ensure survey instrument adequately reflects provider requirements, policy, rules, regulations, laws, etc. Acts as subject matter expert in field of expertise. Provides technical assistance to facilities regarding rules and regulations. Independently conducts onsite visits, as needed. Maintains records in accordance with State and Federal laws at all times. Completes accurate, thorough, and timely entry of information into databases and applications. Communicates effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing, with providers and other stakeholders, including other DBHDD offices and divisions. Provides technical assistance to providers regarding policy, rules, and regulation requirements. Use critical thinking skills to determine risks to individuals being served. Provides support, supervision, and feedback to compliance specialists that report to them. Assists with scheduling reviews for their team and overseeing travel. Represents DBHDD professionally during all interactions with providers and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of related experience or Associate’s degree in a related field and four years of related experience. Two years of leadership experience providing support, supervision, and feedback to team members. Knowledge of NTP/MOUD services. Experience working with individuals with opioid use disorders, preferably in a NTP setting. Professional licensure or credentialing in a related field (certified addiction counselor, nursing, etc.) Experience conducting compliance audits based on regulations, legal requirements and/or accreditation standards. Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and navigating applications like electronic health records and Methasoft. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
