Intellectible is a venture-backed AI operating system for enterprises helping companies win business through streamlining bids, proposals, and capture work, where revenue depends on the ability to qualify, price, and respond at speed. Our customers include government contractors, defense suppliers, facilities management firms, professional services, AEC, and other operationally complex service providers. We don't sell legacy SaaS that companies have to conform to — Intellectible configures to how each business actually runs: their SOPs, their data, their voice, their approval flows, their entire stack.
Intellectible is packaged through simple preconfigured engines called GovCon Capture, Proposal Automation, Pricing & Estimation, and Knowledge — that act as wedges into deeper operating-system relationships. The proof is real: one of our customers created $520M+ in qualified pipeline in 60 days on our GovCon Capture Engine alone. We're post-product-market-fit, growing rapidly, and backed by top-tier investors including Bread & Butter Ventures, Victorum Capital, Circadian Ventures, Anorak Ventures, Techstars, and others.
THE ROLEYou'll be one of Intellectible's first dedicated sales hires inheriting a robust, growing pipeline driven by our dedicated outbound team. You will own and manage the full sales process including:
- Deal qualification
- Discovery
- Product Demos
- Proposal Scope & Creation
- Closing
The CEO will initially be actively involved with you throughout the sales process on each deal - partnering with you to ensure your success and knowledge ramp.
Our business development and sales motions already work — we’re generating significant new pipeline every week, deals are closing with shorter sales cycles, and we have customer proof points that validate our ROI with prospects. We have an existing sales playbook that you will help sharpen and refine. You will also build your own pipeline through targeted outbound, networking, and events. Intellectible is partly a strategic sale - showing our buyers how Intellectible is an efficient AI operating layer underneath their revenue operations driving immediate ROI and scale.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKEWe believe in being specific about what we're hiring you to do. By the end of month 6, you'll have:
- Built and managed a healthy pipeline within target verticals
- Run professional discovery, demos, and proposal processes independently
- Close $100K-$400k initial ARR-producing customers
- Help define and refine Intellectible’s ideal customer profiles and messaging
- Establish a repeatable enterprise sales process
- Accurately forecast opportunities and maintain CRM discipline
- Become a trusted advisor to customers navigating AI workflow transformation
The strongest candidates will have spent the last 3-7 years at a hypergrowth Series A–C software company — following a highly repeatable sales process, hitting or beating quota consistently, and finishing in the top quartile (ideally top decile) of their team. Achieving President's Club, earning top-rep awards, joining companies at an early stage, and a deep drive to win are preferred characteristics.
- 3–7 years closing complex B2B deals. You’re comfortable navigating opportunities that require multiple champions and buyers to earn approval. Intellectible is not a transactional sale (yet).
- Comfort selling to operationally complex buyers. You've sold into mid-market or enterprise companies where the buyer had to think about systems of record, approval flows, and procurement — not just SMB single-decision-maker deals. Direct experience selling into government contractors, defense, facilities management, professional services, or AEC is a strong plus.
- Hunger and craft. You treat sales as a craft. You read about it, study sellers you admire, run your pipeline like it's a P&L, and generate your own when you need to. You don't need SDRs to manufacture urgency inside live deals, and you're energized — not threatened — by selling with the founder in the room. You're not looking for a comfortable seat — you're looking for a place where your output compounds.
- Startup environment. You're energized by early-stage environments with ‘wow factor’, transformational technology where the process exists but isn't fully scaled yet. You're willing to wear multiple hats, sharpen the playbook in collaboration with other reps, and help shape how the GTM motion grows from here.
- Comfort with a moving target. What we sell, and who we sell it to, will keep evolving. The platform, the solutions, and the ICP we lean into hardest will continue to shift as we learn what's working. You need to be the kind of seller who can hold a confident point of view in a discovery call while the ground under the product is still moving, and who updates their pitch in real time as the company sharpens. If you need a frozen product, a frozen ICP, and a frozen deck to sell well, this seat will frustrate you.
- HubSpot fluency. We run our pipeline, sequences, and reporting in HubSpot. You're comfortable working in it natively and have opinions about how to structure it well.
- $150K–$180K OTE. Even split between base and variable (50/50) at 100% of quota. Plus fully covered health and a 401(k). Where you land in the band depends on experience and track record.
- Uncapped commission. Hunter role, hunter pay. Accelerators above 100% of quota. We pay on every dollar you close — and on expansion, not just new logo.
- Austin preferred. We're a tight team building a complex platform sale, and the closing pod with the founder works best when we can get in a room together — so Austin, or a willingness to spend meaningful time here, is a real plus. That said, we're open to the right person wherever they're based.
