Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Assistant Youth Director will support the Youth Director in developing and implementing a comprehensive ministry program for middle school students. This position provides leadership and oversight for middle school youth nights, retreats, faith formation, service opportunities, and community building events, with a particular focus on creating engaging opportunities for students to encounter Christ and grow in their Catholic faith. The Assistant Youth Director will build intentional relationships with middle school students and their families, recruit and develop adult and high school student leaders, and help coordinate retreats. This role will collaborate closely with the Youth Director, volunteers, and parents to ensure a consistent and effective approach to evangelization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, communication and relational skills; demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic faith; and have a passion for accompanying young people during the important transition from childhood to adolescence. The Assistant Youth Director will work to cultivate a welcoming, joyful, and Christ-centered ministry environment where middle school students feel known, supported, and challenged to live as missionary disciples.
