Part-Time Construction Estimator & BOM Specialist

Benefits: Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Vision insurance Assistant Estimator Position: Responsibilities include reviewing project invitations, creating a Bill of Materials (BOM) for quoting (steel, hardware, decking, joists, finish, etc.), entering the BOM into an Excel spreadsheet per floor, and writing a summary for the final quote package. Required Skills: Working knowledge of structural steel, proficiency in reading engineering prints, and comfort with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word). Experience with takeoff programs such as Blue Beam or Adobe Pro PDF software is preferred. Construction Hand - Part-Time: Must be able to perform physical labor, with construction knowledge. Ability to use tape measures, squares, levels, etc., is required. Knowledge of carpentry, welding, fabrication, or ironwork is a plus. Must be able to work hands-on in the field and in the office to assist senior officers in bidding jobs. Basic tool list will be provided. Hours may vary; flexibility to work up to 12-hour days, 5 days a week, is required. Training will be provided for PDFs and drawings.
