IT Project Manager (PMP Certified)Contract: 6-12 Months | HybridPosition OverviewOur client is seeking a highly experienced, PMP-certified IT Project Manager to lead strategic technology initiatives involving both custom software development and third-party software implementations.This role requires a delivery-focused leader who can successfully manage complex programs, competing priorities, vendors, and distributed teams while maintaining accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business outcomes.Project Leadership & GovernanceLead multiple concurrent IT projects through the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, deployment, stabilization, and closeout.Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, communication plans, RAID logs, and executive dashboards.Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, quality standards, dependencies, risks, issues, and change control processes.Provide regular project health reporting and strategic recommendations to executive sponsors and governance committees.Ensure alignment between project objectives and business outcomes.Custom Software DevelopmentLead Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid software development initiatives.Coordinate efforts across product owners, business analysts, architects, developers, QA teams, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.Facilitate Agile ceremonies including: Sprint PlanningBacklog RefinementDaily Stand-UpsSprint ReviewsRetrospectivesRelease PlanningDrive accountability, transparency, and delivery excellence across near-shore development teams.Support production deployments and release management activities.Third-Party Software ImplementationsLead implementation of enterprise SaaS and commercial software solutions.Manage project activities including: Planning and configurationSystem integrationsTesting and trainingDeployment and adoptionCoordinate software vendors, implementation partners, internal IT teams, cybersecurity teams, data teams, and business stakeholders.Oversee: Data migrationsInterface developmentUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)Cutover planningGo-live readinessPost-production supportHold vendors accountable for contractual deliverables, milestones, quality standards, and issue resolution.Stakeholder Management & CommunicationServe as the primary communication bridge between executives, business users, technical teams, vendors, and near-shore partners.Translate technical concepts, risks, and constraints into clear business language.Deliver executive-level reporting and decision-ready recommendations.Adapt communication style for audiences ranging from C-suite leaders to frontline contributors.Facilitate decision-making, conflict resolution, and cross-functional collaboration across distributed teams and time zones.Required QualificationsCurrent Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).7+ years of experience managing complex IT projects and enterprise technology initiatives.Demonstrated success delivering: Custom software development projectsEnterprise software implementation projectsExperience managing distributed, remote, or near-shore development teams.Strong vendor, contract, budget, and risk management experience.Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.Solid understanding of: Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)System IntegrationsAPIsCloud PlatformsSoftware TestingRelease ManagementProduction SupportJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Ormond Beach, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
