Introduction to Role & Team

As a Product Designer focused on our flagship Date product, you’ll help reimagine what modern dating feels like; safe, joyful, and human. You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and research partners to create intuitive, emotionally intelligent experiences that empower millions to connect with confidence.

You’ll be part of a team that champions craft, consistency, and inclusion across Bumble’s ecosystem. This role calls for a designer who can balance user empathy, data insight, and creativity, all while modelling Bumble’s values of Respect, Curiosity, and Joy in their work.

What You’ll Do

• Design user-centred experiences, owning flows, interactions, and visual design from concept through to polished delivery.

• Translate product requirements and user insights into clear interaction models, high-fidelity designs, and working prototypes that communicate your thinking.

• Collaborate with UXR, PMs, and engineers throughout the design process while actively contributing to discovery, synthesis, and iteration with an open, curious mindset.

• Build with intention: consider not just how something looks, but how it feels, how it behaves, and what it communicates to the people who use it.

• Contribute to shared UX patterns and design system components, helping to raise the bar for consistency and craft across the product.

• Use AI-powered tools thoughtfully to accelerate exploration, prototype ideas, and personalise experiences responsibly.

• Present and defend your design decisions clearly, articulating how your choices connect to user needs, product goals, and Bumble’s values.

• Embrace feedback with curiosity, iterate with intention, and bring a growth mindset to every stage of the design process.

About You

• You have 3–5 years of experience designing high-quality digital products with mobile platform experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills

• You have strong visual and interaction design skills and your work is considered, polished, and reflects a genuine care for craft.

• You’re developing strong product thinking: you ask “why” before you jump to “how,” and you’re actively building the instincts to connect design decisions to outcomes.

• You work well in cross-functional teams and are collaborative, clear in your communication, and generous with your thinking.

• You’re proficient in Figma and modern prototyping tools, and you approach new methods and technologies with openness.

• You treat inclusive design and accessibility as fundamentals, not afterthoughts.

• You take ownership seriously: you follow through, communicate proactively, and bring a proactive, accountable mindset to your work.

• You embody Bumble’s values of Joy, Courage, and Curiosity, using design to build products that foster empathy and connection.
