We are committed to helping the population we serve, and our communities, achieve optimum health and enjoy the best quality of life possible.What you'll do:Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional conditionsMonitor vital signs, lab results, and other relevant dataAdminister chemotherapy and other cancer treatments as prescribedProvide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and other nursing interventionsAssist with procedures and treatmentsCollaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plansEducate patients and families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and potential side effectsAdvocate for patients' needs and preferencesEnsure continuity of care throughout the treatment processProvide emotional support and guidance to patients and their familiesHelp patients understand their treatment plan and manage side effectsRefer patients and families to appropriate resources and support servicesAddress patients' concerns and questionsMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient recordsDocument patient assessments, treatments, and progressParticipates in educational activity related to job function annually and provides documented evidence of attendance or activity to supervisorCommunicate effectively with other healthcare professionalsParticipate in research and clinical trialsParticipates in Operational/Regulatory activitiesContribute to the implementation of nursing protocols and guidelinesStay current with the latest advancements in oncology careEmployee is responsible for completing 12 oncology specific CNE's annually. (36 CNE's are required every 3 years to meet Commission on Cancer guidelines from date of hire.)
