Litigation Case Coordination Specialist Kansas City, MO | Hybrid Full-Time | Contract until EOY | up to $25ph. LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a client within the Legal industry who is seeking a highly detail-oriented Litigation Case Coordination Specialist to support a fast-paced legal team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate case management, seamless client onboarding, and adherence to litigation timelines and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, experience supporting litigation matters, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, maintain, and distribute client-specific documentation, including comprehensive master files outlining protocols, procedures, and requirements.
- Prepare onboarding documentation for new legal matters, ensuring accurate setup for case management and billing processes.
- Monitor and manage multiple shared inboxes, updating internal case tracking systems promptly to reflect new activity and communications.
- Research and navigate various client platforms and external systems to gather relevant information, identify missing data, and support attorney requests.
- Coordinate and submit legal reporting requests in accordance with client guidelines, including tracking deadlines and ensuring compliance with required deliverables.
- Investigate and resolve inquiries from legal team members and leadership related to processes, reporting, and case updates; provide recommendations for process improvements when appropriate.
- Conduct case research using legal databases and court systems to track case status and update internal records accordingly.
- Review pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, and other legal filings, capturing key details and maintaining accurate case documentation.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and organization of all litigation-related information within internal tracking systems.
- Maintain and organize electronic case files and support documentation, ensuring accessibility and compliance with internal standards.
- Track case activity, documentation, and key milestones within a centralized case management system.
- Support case strategy preparation by researching relevant facts, legal considerations, and public records.
- Assist with monthly billing validation, coordinating with legal team members to confirm work performed and secure approvals prior to invoicing.
- 5-10 years of experience in a legal support, litigation, or case coordination environment
- Paralegal certification is a plus
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management systems
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify gaps and recommend solutions
