Job Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments, conducting physical examinations and reviewing comprehensive medical histories
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and lab results with precision
• Work closely with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment strategies for patients
• Provide intraoperative assistance, ensuring operating rooms are ready, patient positioning is optimal, and surgical instruments are smoothly handed off
• Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care which includes administering medications, wound management, discharge planning, and educating patients and families

Education & Requirements

• Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgical practice are highly preferred

Certifications

• Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
