Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and mental health screenings to identify the specific needs of students, which will inform tailored treatment strategies.

• Deliver short-term individual counseling sessions addressing various issues that students encounter, such as academic pressures, anxiety, depression, or relationship concerns.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops focusing on relevant topics such as stress management, emotional resilience, and coping skills to promote student mental health.

• Collaborate interdisciplinary with faculty members, academic advisors, and student organizations to ensure a supportive network for students facing mental health challenges.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records, comply with legal and ethical regulations, and utilize electronic health record systems for efficient documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is primarily focused on providing mental health support to college students; thus, understanding the unique challenges faced by this age group is crucial. You will work with a diverse client base, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns that arise in the academic environment, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, social adjustment issues, and substance use.

Qualifications\n

• An active and unrestricted professional license as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or a PsyD is required.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is essential for this role.
