Director of Catering Sales Benefits & Compensation Base salary: $120,000-$125,000 annually Full-time, exempt position with long-term growth potential Opportunity to work collaboratively with a respected team of hospitality professionals Director of Catering Sales Requirements & Qualifications 5-7+ years of progressive experience in catering sales or event planning, ideally with hotels, luxury venues, or elevated hospitality settings Proven success driving catering revenue, generating new business, converting leads, and nurturing repeat clients Solid understanding of food & beverage operations, banquet service, menu development, and event execution Strong proficiency with CRM platforms, event planning software, and Microsoft Office Suite Polished communication, organization, and presentation skills Availability for client meetings and events during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Director of Catering Sales Preferred Background & Skills Experience managing multiple event types and priorities simultaneously Track record as a proactive, sales-driven leader who excels in relationship building Ability to collaborate across culinary, operations, marketing, finance, and leadership teams Highly detail-oriented with creative, solution-focused mindset Director of Catering Sales Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive catering sales strategies to drive revenue, profitability, and market share Identify, cultivate, and close new business opportunities across corporate, social, wedding, and nonprofit segments Conduct site tours, presentations, tastings, and client meetings, showcasing the property's event capabilities Build and maintain a robust pipeline through prospecting, networking, and community engagement Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless event planning and flawless execution Ensure accurate preparation of proposals, contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and related documentation Mentor and support junior team members where applicable Represent the organization at industry events, networking functions, and community activities This role offers a chance to take ownership of a significant revenue channel, building long-term client relationships and shaping memorable, high-touch events within an established, supportive hospitality environment.
