We foster a collaborative environment with support and mentoring from engineering peers.Join us to push the state of the art of what is possible with just a browser.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement new UI components spanning a wide range of UX, such as Charting, Forms, Mapping Controls, Smart Mapping, Data Management, and Analysis ToolsEnsure Components meet Accessibility, Internationalization, and Localization requirementsAssume a leading role in the public API design and documentationAdvise in matters of software architecture and engineeringApply and promote good software engineering practices, such as test automation, modularization, simplificationEvolve and maintain our build process, test automation infrastructure, and other custom toolingInteract with users to identify and articulate their needsResearch and apply state-of-the-art UX practicesRequirements1+ years of practical experience in software developmentExcellent programming skills in a modern programming languageExperience with JavaScript and or TypeScriptExperience with Web ComponentsStrong background in software design and architectureExcellent creative thinking and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced team environment with frequent releases and tight schedulesBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or related fieldRecommended QualificationsMaster's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or related fieldExperience with virtual DOM or reactive UI patternsExperience with CSS post-processingExperience with AccessibilityExperience with InternationalizationExperience with API designFamiliarity with GIS applications and technologiesTotal RewardsEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy.
