As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Used Car Manager to take ownership of our pre-owned department and drive it to new levels of success.

The Role

As Used Car Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of our used vehicle department, from acquisition and pricing to merchandising and sales. You'll work closely with the sales team, general manager, and other departments to keep inventory moving, margins strong, and customers satisfied. This is a great opportunity for a driven, numbers savvy leader who knows how to read the market and move fast.

What You'll Do

• Source and acquire used vehicle inventory through trades, auctions, and wholesale channels
• Appraise trade-ins accurately and competitively to support both sales and profitability goals
• Set and adjust pricing strategy based on market trends, aging inventory, and turn rate goals
• Manage inventory levels, mix, and reconditioning to keep the lot fresh and appealing
• Partner with the marketing team to ensure vehicles are merchandised effectively online and on the lot
• Lead, train, and motivate the used car sales team to hit monthly and annual targets
• Monitor key metrics including gross profit, days in inventory, and turn rate
• Build and maintain relationships with auction houses, wholesalers, and other acquisition sources
• Ensure compliance with all state and dealership policies regarding used vehicle sales
• Work closely with the sales manager and general manager to align used car strategy with overall dealership goals

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Used Car Manager or similar leadership role within a dealership
• Strong knowledge of vehicle appraisal, pricing strategy, and inventory management
• A track record of hitting sales and profitability targets
• Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills
• Ability to analyze market data and adjust strategy quickly
• Strong leadership skills with experience training and motivating a sales team
• Familiarity with dealership management systems and inventory tools (vAuto, CDK, or similar)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
