Payroll ClerkSummary:Join our payroll team as a Payroll Clerk, responsible for daily data entry and assisting in accurate and timely weekly payroll processing. This role is critical to ensuring the precision of payroll records in a rapidly growing organization.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform daily payroll department operations efficiently.Manage workflows to ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions.Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.Ensure proper taxation of employer-paid benefits.Process and comply with garnishments and child support calculations.Prepare accurate and timely year-end payroll reports when necessary.Develop financial and operational reports as needed.Calculate back pay and make check corrections.Address employee and employer payroll inquiries through research and resolution.Qualifications:Education: Associate degree in Business or Accounting required.Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.Experience:4–6 years of experience in multi-state payroll processing.Strong understanding of child support income withholding orders (IWOs) and garnishments.Skills and Knowledge:Working knowledge of payroll best practices.Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other PC applications.Familiarity with Paycom Payroll Software preferred.Attributes:Strong work ethic, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with various management levels.Decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.Capacity to perform under tight deadlines, with availability for overtime as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
