Summary The Assistant Manager assists the branch manager in daily operations of a retail Credit Union branch, develops and grows member relationships, promotes products and services, and delivers efficient operations. Education and Experience High School Diploma required Minimum of three years branch banking experience as an individual contributor Microsoft Word and Excel skills required Commissioned notary or ability to obtain a notary commission within six months required Spanish language skills preferred Job Responsibilities Perform routine branch opening, closing, member service, and other operational tasks. Assume responsibility for supervising the branch office during the manager’s absence. Coach staff to cross‑sell and track achievement against sales goals, and provide training on sales techniques. Help branch manager achieve financial, operational, and customer satisfaction goals. Resolve member or operational issues. Coordinate with other Credit Union teams to promote products and represent the Credit Union during community events. Support portfolio growth by identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and increase member acquisition. Ensure members receive optimal service and monitor/adhere to operational controls. Utilize systems to access financial and production reports to assess branch performance and make business decisions to promote profitability and achieve goals. Ensure compliance with Teachers policies and procedures. Perform all duties inherent in the role of a supervisor. Perform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
