AMN Healthcare is pleased to partner with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School to recruit a Pain Medicine Physician for its Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Pain Management. ABA pain medicine certification is required. This academic opportunity offers a dynamic blend of outpatient care, interventional procedures, operating room cases, hospital consultative medicine, and teaching responsibilities. You will join an established division led by experienced faculty while working alongside fellows, residents, and medical students in a collaborative academic environment. With a structured weekday schedule, no in-house call requirements, advanced procedural opportunities, and a progressive compensation model, this position offers an ideal balance of career growth, academic engagement, and lifestyle flexibility.

Opportunity Highlights

• Progressive compensation model with total earning potential increasing from $390,000 in year one to $585,000 or more by year three

• Structured weekday schedule with dedicated office and procedure time

• No in-house call responsibilities

• Shared outpatient call rotation approximately every third weekend

• Perform advanced procedures, including spinal cord stimulation, pump placement, and minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD)

• Dedicated operating room access for sterile cases

• Teach and mentor fourth-year medical students, residents, and fellows

• Daily hospital consult coverage supported by trainees

• Academic faculty appointment at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School

• Join an established and respected Division of Pain Management led by experienced physician leadership

• Comprehensive benefits package, including retirement plans, medical coverage, generous paid time off, and annual professional meeting support

• Physicians with primary specialties other than anesthesiology, i.e. EM, Neurology, PMN&R, Family Medicine, are welcome to apply
