Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care | Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in an acute care hospital.
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.

Required Documents / Certifications

Active Iowa RN License (or Compact RN License if applicable)
BLS Certification (AHA)
Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (travel experience preferred)
Mandatory Reporter Certifications (Child & Adult)
Iowa SING Background Check
Current required titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
