HR Generalist Position

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales, and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits' products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement, and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance, and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea, and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, and sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:

The Mini-Circuits Florida HR department supports a staff of 150+ members in a non-union environment. The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the HR Business Partner in performing professional-level Human Resources functions, local recruiting, member-related activities, projects, and administration as defined below.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 per year

Job Function:

• Manage local recruitment and hiring for hourly Production and General Labor FTE positions, including sourcing, interviewing, candidate selection, and coordination with hiring managers.
• Manage pre-employment processes, including background checks, drug screenings, offer letters, and applicant tracking system maintenance.
• Coordinate and administer New Hire Orientation (NHO), including workspace preparation, equipment, supplies, and onboarding logistics.
• Process and maintain Form I-9 documentation in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Support employee terminations and separations, including required documentation and HRIS updates.
• Support benefits enrollment and respond to routine employee benefits questions, partnering with the Benefits Administrator as needed.
• Coordinate employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, STD, and LTD, in partnership with the Benefits Administrator.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within the HRIS (Paycom).
• Process employee job letter requests and other employment-related documentation.
• Support employee relations matters and investigations, partnering with the HRBP as appropriate.
• Support internal and external audits and HR reporting by preparing accurate data, records, and documentation.
• Coordinate and process Workers' Compensation, Disability, FMLA, and Unemployment Insurance claims in partnership with appropriate internal teams and external providers.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding routine HR questions, policies, processes, and requests.
• Partner with the HRBP and HR Assistant to plan and execute site HR events, including coordinating event logistics, products, and employee swag.
• Provide HR administrative support to the site HRBP and serve as backup support for the HR Assistant.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
• 2-4 years of HR Generalist experience
• Minimum 2 years of benefit compliance & administration exposure
• Experience with HRIS systems is required
• Experience in handling employee unemployment insurance matters is preferred.
• Ability to independently research topics and recommend solutions to complex problems
• Excellent HR Report analytical skills
• Working knowledge of Florida state & Federal labor laws required
• Demonstrated ability to appropriately handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to be successful in a multi-cultural environment
• Proven ability to make recommendations for "best practices" & continuous improvement
• Proven ability to successfully interact with all levels within the organization
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish, is required
