CODES AND STANDARDS ADMINISTRATOR II (NON-PEACE OFFICER)

Overview Position Title: Codes and Standards Administrator II (Building and Codes Official). Work Location: Sacramento, CA. Salary: $8,116.00 - $10,100.00 per month. Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time. Work Arrangement: In-office, five days a week. Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Codes and Standards Administrator III, the Codes and Standards Administrator II is responsible for the operations of the permitting office and field operations covering construction and code enforcement of applicable laws and regulations, including manufacturers, use, conversion, and alterations of manufactured homes, mobilehomes, commercial modulars, and special purpose commercial modulars. The role also covers the construction, use, occupancy, and maintenance of mobilehome and special occupancy parks. Minimum Requirements The minimum qualifications are detailed in the Class Specification. Your SOQ should not exceed two pages, single‑spaced, Arial 12‑point font and address the following: Describe your experience interpreting, applying, and enforcing building codes, regulations, or statutes. Include specific examples of complex code‑related issues you have handled and the outcome of your involvement. Explain your experience developing, revising, or implementing policies, procedures, or regulatory documents. Describe the steps you took, your role in the process, and how your work improved program effectiveness or compliance. Provide an example of a project or initiative where you were responsible for analyzing technical data, coordinating with diverse stakeholders, and presenting findings or recommendations. Describe the challenges you faced and how you addressed them.
