Maintenance Manager

Maintenance ManagerOur client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations and ensure equipment, machinery, and facility systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. This position will coordinate maintenance activities across departments to support production goals, product quality, customer service, cost control, and overall plant performance.The ideal candidate will bring strong maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and team development.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all plant maintenance activities to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.Ensure compliance with all established safety, health, quality, GMP, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.Participate in plant staff, operational planning, shift, and safety meetings.Conduct regular maintenance department meetings and provide training based on departmental and employee development needs.Develop and implement maintenance methods, procedures, and programs that improve equipment reliability, increase manufacturing efficiency, and reduce operating costs.Partner closely with Engineering to identify and implement improvements to plant machinery, equipment, and systems.Investigate equipment failures and breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce recurring issues and unplanned downtime.Develop, manage, and control the maintenance budget while ensuring the effective use of departmental resources.Identify opportunities to reduce repetitive maintenance expenses by addressing underlying equipment and process issues.Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs designed to improve equipment performance and extend asset life.Select, train, coach, and develop maintenance personnel to achieve departmental and plant objectives.Coordinate with Production and other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to manufacturing operations.Work with vendors, contractors, suppliers, and plant visitors as required.Lead or participate in special projects involving maintenance, engineering, equipment upgrades, or other functional areas.Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.Travel up to 25% as required.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant maintenance experience will be considered.Minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervisory or management experience within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience leading and developing maintenance teams.Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis.Experience managing maintenance budgets, controlling costs, and improving equipment reliability.Strong computer skills and ability to effectively utilize maintenance and business systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Production, Engineering, Quality, Safety, vendors, and other departments.Consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance is required.Key CompetenciesMaintenance LeadershipPreventive & Predictive MaintenanceEquipment ReliabilityRoot Cause AnalysisManufacturing OperationsContinuous ImprovementSafety & GMP ComplianceMaintenance Budget ManagementTroubleshooting & Problem SolvingTeam Leadership & DevelopmentCross-Functional Collaboration
